This is a triumph which shoots straight to the top of the pasty leaderboard! There may be pasties in Cornwall which can kick it's arse but I doubt you'll get change for a quid. In stark contrast to the usual flaky, messy pasty crust this is as soft as a baby’s bum. Thin yet satisfying; you could wash your face with it, it’s so clean and pure. Individually hand crimped and delicately folded over. It has a luscious, stodgy meat and potato pasty filling. Somehow I was expecting it to blow my mind given the high esteem many Boltonians hold it in so perhaps expected a little more….
