Whittaker's Meat and Potato Pie

Whittaker's Meat and Potato Pie
The residents of Tyldesley are indeed fortunately to have two such wonderful yet differentiating pie shops in their environs. I withstand a solid attempt to upsell to me ("Are you just having the one pie then?") and receive a large plate style pie with a shallow filling but wide diameter which rises to a more than acceptable level in the apex of the pie. In complete contrast to their neighbours it's very sweet tasting with presumably a fair old sugar content with a highly unique taste to it. On another day, this product would blow me away but it has to suffice with a very close second place. Kind of like a Ray Clemence to Dawson's Peter Shilton.
