A splendid butchers with sawdust in the floor, it is a sturdy, robust pie, heavy enough to knock a featherweight boxer out. Big lumps of glistening potato combined with smaller chunks of braised beef, a bit unlike a butchers pie in this respect but it was nevertheless a corker.
