Essentially I've no idea what this was and haven't been able to find anything about it subsequent to publication. However, it twirled around and folded in like a gift wrapped present of cooked meat, very soft and flaky in the mouth almost puff pastry like. Tastewise, there was something in there, possibly even a bit of game judging by the dark colour pigment and toughness to it with jelly both on the inside and out. Upon inspecting the wrapper, it was also two months out of date. Live life on the edge, me.
