Pie review

Let’s cut to the chase, farm shops are fucking ace and in no time at all I find myself leering at the lush cheeses and dribbling over the real ales. The fidget pie is a refreshing and intriguing challenge to the tastebuds with mash and mustard amongst a ham and gammon cheesy base, although I can’t taste apples. It looks like a savoury Mr Whippy with it’s mashed potato top crust, which only slightly hardened in the oven but still possesses good portability despite not being fully encased. Though very much the norm around these parts for hungry farmers it almost has the feel of a breakfast pie given the amount of pork and cheese in it to munch on before a long day ploughing the fields.
