Gunn's Bedfordshire Clanger

It is perfectly encased in gentle suety pastry. The only trouble is to my untrained eye I can see no discernible difference between either end and inevitably make the schoolboy error of biting into the dessert bit containing apples first. All over Bedfordshire right now, ruddy cheeked farmers are roaring with laughter at this dozy Northern idiot!!! The gammon offers up chewy resistance and the potato and onion is fluffy and well seasoned, I just can’t get my head around the other end which resembles a McDonalds apple pie
