Giglis came with a reputation and certainly lived up to it be it their standard fayre or something with a little twist to it. This particular pie is made with hot water based pastry smothered with apples on top yet I still manage to eat with one hand and no spillage. The sweet and savoury mix challenges the tastebuds and is pulled off perfectly. A double whammy of tons of sausage meat crammed in with a sublime external topping of sweet apples to take the edge off. Fantastic!
