As a wildcard, it sweeps aside my original target with considerable disdain. Butchers' pies nearly always seem to be huge. Solid. The lid is uneven and part of it sticks to the foil tray. This made it difficult to eat with my hands forcing me to scoop the filling out manually. But hey, at least my hands smelled of lovely pie all afternoon! Inside, there was a good quantity of peppery potato and meat with lashings of gravy. When I visited Devonshire’s in Weaverham, I also chanced upon this place nearby when the golden vision appeared in front of me: GEORGE'S BUTCHERS - FAMOUS FOR IT'S HOME MADE PIES.
