Mine host is a gent, scholar and pie maker extraordinaire in spite of this place's supposed "Sweeney Todd" reputation. The pastry is a bit thick and stubbly for my liking but the pie is sSublimely aromatic and warm as Caribbean sunshine. The filling consists of a terrific fusion of potato, gravy and mince, a touch peppery on the seasoning front but carries it off perfectly. What more do you want for under a quid?
