Higgidy Chicken, Ham and Leek Pie

I’m not sure of the wisdom of including the word POT in the pie description, as it very often has negative connotations in the pie world. A pie should not be made in a pot, it should be made in pastry! It is also puff pastry, which I invariably find to be a (literal) waste of space but redeemed somewhat with a pastry love heart on top. Perfectly edible with the hands although the pastry is unwieldy and flies off everywhere. The packaging is excellent, full of words of wisdom and a cute tray complete with recycling message and warming statements about the chicken and ham - raised on RSPCA approved farms apparently. Great news just as I'm just about to eat the little buggers. The pie is packed full of goodness: meat, veg all encapsulated in a rich, creamy sauce. A truly lush and satisfying affair
